QIC GRE engaged Strategic Spaces to design a wayfinding masterplan for Robina Town Centre, QLD.
Robina Town Centre is the second largest shopping destination in the Gold Coast. Since recent expansions, the centre now hosts over 400 specialty retailers.
Our comprehensive wayfinding masterplan was designed to reflect the recently rebranded centre vision and to provides self-sufficient navigation for all users.
To instill a positive user experience, the wayfinding solution introduced directional signage throughout the mall to clearly direct users to key points of interest across the site. Establishing a clear information hierarchy across all signage elements ensured clarity and effectiveness of the wayfinding messaging.
Our concept was based on the development of a place narrative, encapsulating the culture, environment and lifestyle of the Gold Coast. We provided art direction to local artist Llewellyn Skye for the treatment of wayfinding totems throughout the centre. Each totem is inspired by various aspects of the idyllic Gold Coast environment and lifestyle. As users move throughout the centre their journey takes them from one distinct artwork to another.
